     Aria Deng
Summary:
Dante was afraid of entering the city that was opened for them already. Virgil was trying to encourage Dante but the nervous inside his heart betrayed him and made Dante feel even worse. Dante doubted whether Virgil has been to the deeper level of hell before and Virgil replied he did have been to the deepest level once by the lead of Erichtho (is a legendary Thessalian witch[1]), therefore, there was nothing Dante can worry about. While Virgil was talking about the things happened in the hell, there were three Furies of Hell (creatures that are half woman, half serpent[2] ) with blood all over their bodies. They were grit with bright green water snakes and their names were Megaera, Allecto and Tisiphone. Virgil tried to protect Dante from the attack from those women monsters by covering his eyes.

Dante saw a men walking across the river Styx without wetting his feet. The man scolded the soul in that swamp and ignored Virgil and Dante like they were not existed. With the help of the man from heaven, Virgil and Dante entered the city easily. When they got into the city, Dante saw a lot of spread tombs flames in different heats and heard all the screaming from tombs.(Those are the hereticsa baptized Roman Catholic who willfully and persistently rejects any article of faith.[3]) They then passed though the graveyard and went to another place.
    Sin in question:

Punishment of the sinners:
The heretics were burning in the tombs, and the heat of the flame was even hotter than the heat of heating iron.
